COUNCIL TRIES TO STOP SANTA coming to Clacton-on-Sea this Christmas to St John's Nursery This is in response to councils statement... we are not trading illegally and we are open as normal and look forward to seeing everyone. The Nursery business at St John's Nursery in Clacton-on-Sea has been trading for several years and is fully entitled to undertake retail sales direct to the public. Planning permission was granted in May for the road widening but was already under appeal for non-determination. Had the Council dealt with this application in an appropriate and timely manner, the road would have been constructed by now. How can the council allow up to 1,100 houses to be built on St Johns Road, which will cause much more traffic than St Johns Nursery.
