Birds Tackle (a division of Birds Leisure), was opened in 1981. During its 36 years in the trade it has garnered a reputation for efficient, friendly advice and service on all aspects of fishing. Our prices are competitive and we will aim to match any genuine quote.
The shop, which measures approximately 5,000 square feet and is one of the largest fishing-tackle shops in East Anglia, is easily accessible from the A14, A12 and A140 and there is on-site for parking for more than 35 vehicles.
All freshwater baits are available and the casters are renowned as being some of the crunchiest in the area. With all the bait available for purchase subjected to a strict preparation process, top-quality bait is assured. You will also find all the major brands in store, including Free Spirit, Kampa, Aqua Products, Angling Technics, Fox, Nash, Shimano, Mainline, Sticky and Trakker, to name but a few.
The shop is open seven days a week – Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 6pm and 9.30am to 4pm on Sundays (with late night opening on Thursday until 8.30 pm) - and the friendly and knowledgeable staff, who specialise in their own field, will be on hand to guide you and advise you on all your needs. If you spend more than £350 then 0% finance deals over 12 months can be arranged, subject to suitability, and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. Birds Tackle is not simply a fishing-tackle shop, though; there is also an extensive shooting department.
