The 18-hole course, one of the finest in the region, is set in attractive parkland with extensively tree lined fairways that demand accurate and intelligent shot making. The Club is seeking to appoint a successor to the present General Manager who is retiring at the end of December 2020. RESPONSIBILITIES: The efficient operational management of Eaton Golf Club (Norwich) Ltd in accordance with the policies and procedures determined by the Board of Directors, with the objective of satisfying the highest expectations of members, visitors and staff, within the framework of the Club's business plan, policies, procedures and budgets. THE CANDIDATE: Applicants should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills & attributes: Acting with high integrity; Business Acumen (Financial & Commercial); Excellent Communication Skills Orally and in writing: Computer Literacy, including a working knowledge of payroll & accounts software packages (Preferably Sage); Competent user of social media platforms to promote and market the Club; Ability to set and work to financial budgets: Procurement and managing contracts & suppliers; Effective management of own and other's time; Excellent interpersonal and people management skills le.g. networking, coaching and management of performance); Flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of an active and successful golf club; Working knowledge and application of appropriate legislation including, licensing and employment law, Health & Safety, COSSH, Child Protection & Safeguarding and Data Protection legislation; and, Sound understanding of the golf industry and expectations of a member's golf club.
