We are a horticultural retail nursery and we are looking to fill two seasonal positions. The first, running from the middle of February to the beginning of June. The working hours will be from 9 to 4. The starting days will be 4 days per week for one month, rising to 5 days per week (Mon Fri) then a period of around 6 weeks frorm the middle of April until the end of May we will require the candidate to be available to work 7 days a week, including all bank holidays during this time. No holiday may be taken during Marclh June. The role involves using machinery to mix compost and fill pots ready for potting. Plant care work including potting up a crop, trimming, spacing and general tidying. Re-stocking the sales area with certain plants. Some contact with customers during the re-stocking time but no shop duties The second, running from the beginning of March to the end of May. The working hours will vary each week depending on the work required, ranging from 20 to 35 hours per week, to be completed Mon-Fri. No holiday may be taken during this employment. The role involves using machines in a team of two or three to mix compost and fill pots and trays and prick out and pot up varieties of seed grown bedding plants. Other plant care work includes spacing and general tidying of plants The location of the nursery requires the candidate to have their own transport.
